Automechanika Istanbul, an event which brings together the International Automotive Industry, is opening its doors this week on Thursday.
On the 45th anniversary of Temel, we present our latest product developments and company news in HALL 7 at STAND B205 at Automechanika Istanbul 2019.
Going up to the show, we would like to share 3 tips with the hopes of making visit to Automechanika Istanbul 2019 productive and enjoyable. We wish everyone a great trip and a successful fair.
1. Transportation From\To Fairgrounds
The event location, TUYAP Fair Convention and Congress Center is a 25-minute drive from Atatürk International Airport and 45 minutes from the city center. Automechanika will offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the event site. Departure and return locations for the shuttle service include Atatürk International Airport, Istanbul International Airport (NEW), Bakırköy Sea Bus Port, and Taksim Square.
Another option is to use the taxis that are readily available from the airport and within the city. Visitors can also ride public transportation via the Metrobus, which stops at the TUYAP station next to the Convention Center. Workday traffic is usually heavy, so renting a car is not advised for travelers who are unfamiliar with navigating the city.
2. Weather Conditions During the Fair
Istanbul generally has a moderate spring climate. The average temperature for April is about 12°C (54°F). High and low temperatures range about 5°C (41°F) above and below the median temperature. It is a good idea to dress in layers and remain aware of the possibility for rain. April is often considered Istanbul’s rainy season and dry season, making the chance of rainfall quite unpredictable. You can expect at least 8 hours of daylight and sunshine in early April, so an outdoor lunch or breakfast would be ideal to enjoy the daylight.
3. A Useful Tip for Business Meetings
Regarding business meetings, it is very important to be punctual and notify of any delays. You’ll find that most Turkish business people comfortably speak in English or German. Keep in mind that Turkish business meetings may take longer than planned, with a good bit of “getting to know one another conversation”, so patience is key. Read business cards immediately after receiving them, as it is a sign of sincere interest and give one of yours in return. Many companies in Turkey are family owned and prefer taking time to know the people they will be doing business with. A successful business meeting will lead to being treated like family and a long-term business partner.
