Each year the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance awards scholarships to two individuals in the auto care industry. This scholarship pays tuition for Northwood University’s two-week executive development and learning program. Join us in wishing congratulations to the 2016 University of the Aftermarket‘s Leadership 2.0 scholarship recipients, Shawn Senior and Jonathan “Blake” Hendricks.
Jonathan Hendricks is the manager of The Grease Pig Lube & Tune, a Bumper to Bumper Certified Service Center located in Fayetteville, Arkansas. While in high school, Hendricks started his career as a counter person for a parts store before moving on to work as a technician and a line mechanic before settling into his role as the shop manager.
Shawn senior currently works in inventory management and purchasing, where he oversees inventory through its life-cycle across 30 locations. He is an ASE Certified Parts Specialist and an AWDA representative for Eastern Warehouse Distributors.
Temel Gasket’s own, Tunç Kip, was one of the recipients of the award in 2015. He shared his experience in an open letter to the automotive industry, which you can find here.
Join us in wishing both of these winners congratulations and follow us for more updates on the automotive aftermarket industry.
