Just In Time For Automechanika Middle East 2017 in Dubai

Just In Time For Automechanika Middle East 2017 in Dubai

If being a part of the consistently growing mobility market is in your goals for this year, and if you are intending to visit a single location while getting the chance to meet with potential leads from 130 different countries, we will go ahead and make the assumption that you may also be on your way to attend the upcoming Automechanika Middle East 2017 in Dubai.

Messe Frankfurt will be hosting Automechanika Middle East 2017 in the United Arab Emirates in Dubai. The program will be starting on Sunday May 7 thru Tuesday May 9, 2017. Once again, this globally significant event is expected to attract over 2,000 exhibitors and 30,000+ visitors from 130 different countries, as the largest automotive aftermarket trade show in the Middle East.

Temel Gaskets will be exhibiting in Hall 6 at Stand D12, same location as always.

Just In Time For Automechanika Middle East 2017 in Dubai, we want to make a quick reminder on a few tips which may come in handy during this trip.

1. Before you walk the show, walk the map.

With a horse-shoe like layout, Automechanika Middle East can be navigated fairly simply. At the same time, along your path, you are likely to see many distractions therefore it’s best to give the exhibitors list, as well as the event program a look before getting started on your visits. Most likely, you will be approaching the show site from the lower right corner according to the map below. That’s where most Taxis pick up and drop off. The other possible entry will be from the upper right corner according to the map below and either way, we want to highlight the fact that Temel Gaskets’ booth will be a quick walk from either direction. Temel Gaskets is also listed in the Truck Competence section due to our significant focus on heavy duty commercial vehicles as well as off-road machines.

2. “Will it be warm?” you might ask.

That’s a very easy question, the answer is “YES!”. The forecast is showing above 100F for each day of the show. You will be thanking for the climate controlled facilities, bus stops, metro stations, taxis and pretty much any method to cool down. While the temperature outside might be a bit uncomfortable for suite and tie, inside the show area, you’ll find that it is within normal room temperatures. Rain is not likely this time of the year. You may check out the weather forecast from this link.

3. Metro and Taxis are great options for getting to the show.

The trade show is located in close proximity to the World Trade Center station on the Dubai Metro. The Dubai Metro is very straightforward to navigate and provides access to the many of the most coveted city attractions as well. Taxis are another good option for visitors who do not want to take advantage of the metro network. Just a fair warning though, like most well attended shows, towards the closing minutes of the show, taxi queue may grow fairly quickly. Most taxi fares range from USD $10-15 for moderate distances. During the evenings and early mornings, walking is definitely an option. Dry heat won’t be as bad at those hours.

4. A Little Kindness Goes A Long Way

A little kindness goes a even a longer way if it’s in the local language. Arabic is the official language of the UAE. Knowing a bit of Arabic is helpful  when navigating business and casual settings. Even only using simple greetings and phrases in Arabic will demonstrate respect towards the culture and make Dubai natives more receptive towards you. It is courteous to accept coffee or tea when offered. Arabic coffee and tea has a slightly more robust flavor than the Western beverages. Some meetings may begin later than scheduled, but remaining patient will most certainly be viewed favorably.

5. Sunday Is Monday in the UAE

The first business day of the week in the UAE is Sunday and the week extends through Thursday. Therefore the show is going to be kicked off the first day of the business week. While government offices are only open Sunday-Thursday, most retail shops and restaurants are open 7 days a week.

After a long day of work, take some time to explore the city. Dubai offers many delicious dining options, museums, and shopping malls. We invite you to visit the Temel Gaskets booth in exhibit Hall 6 at Stand D12. We welcome business opportunities and the potential to form new partnerships and wish you a successful trip to Automechanika Dubai 2017.

We wish everyone attending the best of luck at the show and productive meetings.

Anyone skipping it this year, we strongly recommend finding a space in the calendar for it next year.

Once again, Temel Gaskets will be located at Hall 6 D12.
