Temel Gaskets will be at Automechanika Istanbul 2018, an event which brings together the International Automotive Industry.
Temel Gaskets’ booth will be located in Hall 7 at Stand B205.
As usual, we wanted to share a few pointers with the hope to make your trip more convenient and productive.
1. Traffic is often busy.
If you are reading this newsletter, we think it’s safe to assume that you intend to maximize your time spent on your business during this trip. A vast city, Istanbul covers 590 square miles. Arranging your accommodation nearby the show area will be the best choice for that purpose. Traveling from neighboring towns can be tricky during rush hour. Once the show wraps up, if your choice of mode of transport is a taxi cab, you will need to watch out for the colors depending on where you are headed. The show is close to the airport, that is always a neat advantage when departing after a successful visit.
2. Public transportation is even a better option.
You can hail a taxi pretty much at any point in the city, on the other hand, if you are going long distances, your travel time on the metro will be way more predictable and it’s very convenient. There are many entrances to metro as well as connections to the Metrobus. You may still consider the Dolmuş for in between. Dolmuş are mini-busses which shuttle passengers along a certainly predetermined route and you are free to hop on and off at any point along this route.
3. A quick look at the exhibitor list can save time.
The exhibitor list is available on Automechanika Istanbul 2018 website. Checking out the list will help use your time more efficiently at the show site. We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that we will be in Hall 7 at Stand B205.
4. Istanbul is in two continents, beware of the water in between.
A unique feature of the city, Istanbul is in fact on two continents. One part of the city is in Europe and the other part is in Asia. The water in between is called the Bosphorus. You can take ferries and water taxis to cross. During Automechnaika Istanbul 2018, these modes of transportation may be more pleasant and faster than driving over the bridge.
5. Istanbul is worth sparing extra time for sightseeing.
A guided tour is going to be the best use your time and bang for the buck. You can hit several spots in a single day, without the worry of parking and while learning many interesting facts about the years of history in Istanbul which is still represented by many of the sites that are still intact.
6. Some more details.
The currency is the Turkish Lira. Starting from the airport, you’ll find currency exchange offices conveniently located all over the city. Most likely, your hotel will be able to help out with the change. Big store chains will accept major credit cards but taxis do not often accept credit cards. The power outlets are European and 220V. Most electronics now are compatible with 110 and 220. So, you’ll probably just need a simple adapter. No significant precipitation on the forecast but it may be good to pack a raincoat.
