Formula SAE, Porsche North America CEO and Temel’s part in all of it.

Temel continues to reach out to the incoming generations of the automotive industry. Just this last Saturday, Temel was one of the sponsors to the fifth annual Formula SAE Southern Invitation at the Kennesaw University. There, teams from several universities who are a part of the Formula SAE program, raced their cars, built with hard work from multiple engineering disciplines. Each car competed in categories such as acceleration, handling and more. This is the second year Temel had a table at the event. Make no mistake, these cars are way too fast to not be taken seriously and way too advanced, up there with their big brothers from the real Formula racing teams. We were proud to watch the impressive designs. SAE International President Visits Atlanta

(SAE Intl. President Cuneyt L. Oge Speaking)  On Monday, April 18, the SAE Atlanta Chapter hosted SAE International President, Cuneyt L. Oge, at their quarterly meeting. The meeting took place at Georgia Institute of Technology, a leading university for burgeoning engineers in many different fields. Several Formula SAE team members from Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State University were in attendance. The event showcased impressive cars from Porsche Cars North America and DeltaWing Tech.  Cuneyt gave a thought provoking presentation entitled, “Stretching the Horizons: Preparing SAE for a Disruptive Future.” The discussion centered around how differently the world will function by 2050, based on his predictions from current patterns in technological innovation. He aims to find ways to make SAE become more relevant to people, society, and engineers. Cuneyt stated that this is only the “beginning of a dialogue.” He is hoping to increase SAE membership and build a valuable connection between SAE and leading tech innovating companies like Google and Apple.  Car Travel in the Future                                                                                                                                                                        Cuneyt explained how auto-mobility is changing regarding how we power vehicles. Temel Gaskets USA Attends Formula SAE Competition

Temel Gaskets USA Attends Formula SAE Competition

On February 27, 2016, Temel Gaskets USA attended the 4th Annual Formula South Invitational at Kennesaw State University, in Marietta, Georgia. The competition featured 10 collegiate Formula SAE teams from the across the Southeast region of the United States. The Formula SAE event hosted many ambitious and creative young engineers and Temel Gaskets was thrilled to be one of the event sponsors. Other event sponsors included Delta TechOps, Porsche Experience Center, Panoz Racing, Yamaha, and Andretti. We enjoyed watching the phases of competition, which included events in acceleration, autocross, endurance, and a skid pad test. During the 6-hour event, spectators were entertained by testing variety of Porsche vehicles and other exotic cars. It was exciting to see the results of the impressive work students invested in designing and building their dynamic formula style vehicles. We enjoyed engaging with enthusiastic engineering students who are the upcoming leaders of auto industry. SAE International, the Society of Automotive and Aerospace Engineers, is the parent organization of Formula SAE, which was founded in 1979, as a design competition. The concept comes from the idea that universities are being contracted by an imaginary manufacturing company to build a small formula style car that will be evaluated for its production potential. The car is designed, built, and tested by a team of students, and the competitions have expanded to Australia, Brazil, Japan, and select European countries. Temel Gaskets aims to support the next generation of engineers and contribute to their education. We believe in sharing our extensive engineering knowledge and years of expertise in designing, developing, manufacturing high precision sealing solutions for the automotive industry. We...
