AASA’s Top 100 Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers 2017 has been released

Holding its position among the leading companies of the automotive aftermarket in North America, Temel Gaskets has been once again ranked in AASA’s Top 100 Aftermarket Suppliers 2017 list.  While we claim this as our success, the credit only partially goes to us and we are thankful for the support we receive from our long-time as well as new clients. Our ongoing efforts to keep Temel an evolving organization, offering a continually updated product range. Along with the expansion of product types Temel is known by such as cylinder head gaskets, exhaust gaskets, valve cover gaskets, turbocharger gaskets, Temel also added new product types to its range, such as valve body separator plates and heat shields. Just a year ago Temel was recognized as the exclusive certified partner of Interface Solutions, please check out our press release here. As in the previous years, the list is compiled jointly by Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) and Babcox Media. It is an updated list of suppliers who have continued to stay on the cutting edge by introducing innovative processes and reliable products. In addition to its participation in AASA’s Top 100 Aftermarket Suppliers list, Temel also sponsored AASA’s annual Global Reception during AAPEX. The event was well attended with important players of the global automotive industry. Tunç Kip, Ruth Horton, Timucin Kip Our special thanks goes to Ben Brucato and his team for their involvement in carefully selecting the companies that lead the aftermarket and continue to be an integral part of the overall success of the automotive industry. Kennesaw University AUV Team Thanks Temel for Sponsorship

Kennesaw University AUV Team Thanks Temel for Sponsorship

Last year, Temel was one of the sponsors for the Formula SAE Southern Invitational. During that event, Temel was introduced to a great group of students who were involved in various SAE supported activities. One group took interest in what they could learn from Temel’s years of expertise in the high precision production of rubber and metal parts. This specific group of students was from the Kennesaw University AUV Team. AUV stands for an autonomous underwater vehicle. Over the following weeks, Temel worked with Cody Meier, Albert Cheng and Vinh Nguyen from Kennesaw University AUV Team. Hard work from both sides delivered the custom designed seal for the AUV. You may visit their site for details on the current status of their project and the team. The Kennesaw University AUV Team was kind enough to officially thank us on their website. We would like to thank them for their enthusiasm, motivation and their hard work to test the theory in real life applications. Here is the message posted on the KSU AUV team website: Temel Gaskets was kind enough to design O-rings to fit our acrylic tube. They will prevent water from reaching our camera when the machine has submerged. Over the past few months, we have communicated our technical drawings and specifications with their engineering department to manufacture the components. Temel has also been an active member of SAE Atlanta since its revamp back in 2016. Director of Business Development, Tunç Kip of Temel Gaskets has been a board member for the chapter since the revamp. SAE Atlanta recently acquired the Alabama region, further expanding its reach and growing the membership. Please visit the SAE...
TAYSAD’s Push for 20,000 Careers in the Automotive Industry

TAYSAD’s Push for 20,000 Careers in the Automotive Industry

As a family company of three generations, Temel Gaskets gives great importance in investing in the future of the global automotive industry. It’s clear, to anyone with the slightest intention of long term planning, the future of this industry is in the hands of the individuals who may still be in school. They are the ones who will come up with something that may appear impossible at the moment, they are the ones who will find ways to increase efficiency beyond what may be thought as unobtainable and they are the ones who will teach us what the global market expects to see several years down the road. To make all this possible, as the current players of the market, it’s our responsibility to provide the necessary platform. During Leadership 2.0 at Northwood University last year, a recurring theme was that in the auto industry, an individual only looks for a job one time, that’s when they are first hired. This we know is very true. While the dynamics are changing every other year, the auto industry still remains as a place of lifetime career. Not surprisingly, very similar to the initiatives of the Auto Care Association in creating career opportunities for newcomers, TAYSAD in Turkey has been working on several programs to attract recent graduates to join the automotive industry. This is no coincidence and it’s not purely a result of any specific interaction between the two associations. The associations understand the needs of their markets and the good ones make a focused effort to respond those needs. In this case, the needs of both markets are aligned. In fact, this is a common need globally. The...
Formula SAE, Porsche North America CEO and Temel’s part in all of it.

Formula SAE, Porsche North America CEO and Temel’s part in all of it.

Temel continues to reach out to the incoming generations of the automotive industry. Just this last Saturday, Temel was one of the sponsors to the fifth annual Formula SAE Southern Invitation at the Kennesaw University. There, teams from several universities who are a part of the Formula SAE program, raced their cars, built with hard work from multiple engineering disciplines. Each car competed in categories such as acceleration, handling and more. This is the second year Temel had a table at the event. Make no mistake, these cars are way too fast to not be taken seriously and way too advanced, up there with their big brothers from the real Formula racing teams. We were proud to watch the impressive designs. Tunç Kip of Temel has been on the board of SAE Atlanta for the second year in a row and has been a part of a big revamp of the local chapter that has had very significant global impact. SAE is in the heart of the automotive industry.  SAE International is a global association of more than 128,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle industries.
