Wide Range of Product Offerings from Temel Gaskets

Temel Gaskets offers a wide variety of engine sealing components and aftermarket parts. Below, we have showcased some of our products with descriptions of their function and purpose in automotive vehicles. In addition to the offerings below, our engineers are capable of designing and manufacturing custom parts. The core of our gasket product line includes: cylinder head gaskets, exhaust gaskets, valve cover gaskets, and turbocharger gaskets, in addition to heat shields and dynamic shields. Cylinder Head Gaskets Gaskets are used to seal engine parts and prevent leaks. A cylinder head gasket is positioned between the cylinder head and engine block, allowing it to seal the cylinders and provide the most possible compression to prevent coolant or engine oil from leaking into the cylinders. The areas between the cylinders are the weakest point in an engine. Located in the combustion chamber, many consider the head gasket to be the most important part of the engine. It must be extremely durable and compatible to the type of power produced by the engine. These gaskets can be manufactured out of many different materials, including: rubber, aramid, glass, cork, and metal. Having the correct cylinder head gasket prevents potentially serious and damaging internal and external leaks. These types of gaskets must be bolted down with a torque wrench to ensure they stay in place. Temel Gaskets offers a wide range of cylinder head gaskets for heavy duty and commercial vehicles. Exhaust gaskets Exhaust gaskets must be properly compressed to prevent exhaust fumes from going into the cooling system and causing engine damage. The structure of exhaust manifold varies due to engine characteristics and vehicle type....
3D Printing in the Automotive Industry

3D Printing in the Automotive Industry

(Photo Credit: 3dprintingankara.com) The Automotive Industry has been experiencing rapid changes in technology. From the development of autonomous vehicles to electrically charged vehicle engines, the boundaries for what was once thought impossible have reached new limits and produced higher expectations. One of the newest technologies being implemented into the auto industry is 3D printing and imaging. For many companies, it is quickly replacing conventional methods, like tool building and modifying. Here is how 3D printing is improving rapid prototype manufacturing and producing higher levels of efficiency in the auto industry. On Wednesday, April 27, Turkish-American organization TAYSAD, in collaboration with Dassault Systèmes, hosted an event featuring technologies by GOM, a German company that develops cameras for reverse engineering using object scanning and 3D printers by Stratasys, a major provider of 3D printing technologies. The event focus on explaining and demonstrating key processes used in reverse engineering and engineering change management for the automotive industry. Dassault Systèmes is a major player in providing solutions for 3D product design, simulation, engineering, and design management. At the event, product development teams and hardware solution partners from the company presented an impressive collection of their latest innovations in these fields. The recent improvements in rapid prototyping through 3D printing and scanning technologies have made this process significantly faster and more cost-effective. For a design duplication that would usually take weeks using conventional methods, rapid prototyping can produce complete results in just days or even hours for small scale projects. It is now possible to use these methods for hard plastics, rubber-like soft materials, and metals. The expanded range makes rapid prototyping relevant to many...

Temel Gaskets Visits Detroit, and Leaves With More Connections

2016 has been a busy and productive year for Temel Gaskets. In addition to manufacturing high quality engine sealing components, we also take part in International auto parts shows and special delegation visits that are organized by leading industry organizations. Temel Gaskets Recently participated in a  delegation visit as part of TAYSAD, a Turkish automotive organization that promotes unity between government and manufacturers. The delegation visited Ford Motor Company and General Motors, both located in Detroit, one of the world’s top cities for auto manufacturing. This marked our second delegation visit to Ford Motor Company in Detroit this year, separate from our direct company visits. Temel Gaskets enjoys engaging in company travel to increase our business opportunities. As a result of our business ventures, we have established a new relationship with General Motors. The manufacturing technology at Temel offers many opportunities for potential projects and the formation of a long term supplying partnership with General Motors. Temel Gaskets is actively pursuing opportunities for new projects with OEMs as a sealing solution partner. We offer products ranging from the latest technology gaskets, to heat shields, and dynamic seals. As Q1 certified direct supplier to Ford Motor Company, Temel Gaskets is expanding the scope of our valued partnership with Ford. We have two fully operational facilities located in Izmir, Turkey and have invested into a quarter of million square foot expansion that will be our third manufacturing facility.  As part of the Turkish Automotive Suppliers Delegation, we were able to meet with many influential companies during the weeklong event.
